Article Review (The Orang Asli:Origins,Identity and Classification)

I read the article about The Orang Asli:Origins,Identity and Classification written by Colin Nicholas. In my opinion this article is very well. The article describe about Orang Asli life whether their lifestyle,groups and etc. The Orang Asli, as the name denotes, are the Original of Frist People of the Malay Peninsula whose ancestors inhabited the Malay Peninsula before the enstablishment of the Malay Sultanates. The were being refered to by anthropologists and administrators by a variety of terms. This article also descriptive of their abode such as in Orang Hulu, Orang Darat and Orang Laut. And then, its also describe about their characteristics. For examples, Besisi-people with seales, and Mantra-people who chanted. Beside that, the "civilised" spekers of Orang Asli as Orang Liar, Pangan, Orang Mawas and Orang Jinak. However, according to the anthropological research they have three broad categories, Negritos, Senoi and Aboriginal Malays. They are physically and languages different from each others.
Ironically, they did not see themselves as a homogeneous group as, for the most part. They instead identified themselves by their specific ecological niche, which their traditional land, and which they developed a close affinity and regarded as their
